Children make us see everything with fresh eyes, as though we’re seeing it again for the very first time. Their natural curiosity makes every moment they spend outside a scavenger hunt for items of interest that you may have missed all those times before.

I’ve been thinking just such thoughts recently! We were, for example, walking around Birmingham t’other day, about to cross the road, when she got very excited and started pointing…
*What?* – thought I.
And it was of course the excitement of the wonderful array of vehicles going past!
